Yes！I set up my camera while running back to the couch and still had to grab the shutter before everyone started eating. After all, the smell of a New Year's Eve dinner can't wait for the camera to set up. This was our New Year's Eve. Three generations crammed into the living room, the couch nearly collapsed, the air smelling of sweet and sour chops and laughter. Grandma is wearing a woolen hat, mom is holding dad's hand, uncle has already stolen two bites, and my sister loves to take pictures but is still pretending to be calm.
2025 is the Chinese year of the snake, which symbolizes cleverness and flexibility. It sounds quite mysterious, but for us, the biggest wish of the New Year is very simple: to be able to get together as a family, to talk and to have a hot meal is the greatest happiness.
I made this exhibition because I want you to feel the feeling of “home” - it's not perfect, but it's very real. Sometimes it's noisy, sometimes it's quiet, but as long as we sit together, it's the warmest picture ever !
